Some useful tips
for your trip
Before you start
Getting started
During sailing
-
Watch carefully the briefing and demonstration by our staff. Feel free to ask any questions that may arise.
-
Check the rescue and firefighting equipment.
-
Make sure you have at least one charged cell phone or 12volt car charger.
-
Be aware of weather conditions. Consult with our staff on the best places to visit depending on weather conditions.
-
Wear life jackets for children and passengers who do not know how to swim.
-
Lower the engine into the water, using the "trim down" button.
-
Make sure that all passengers are seated.
-
Make sure you have the "quick stop" safety rope on your hand.
-
Make sure that the leveller is in the vertical position, i.e. that you have neutral. Only then can the engine be started.
-
The captain must always take into account the sea traffic, the depth of the sea and the presence of bathers.
-
Do not go further than 2 nautical miles from the coast
-
Keep a safe distance from the coast and bathers. If you need to approach a shore, reduce your speed to a minimum and drop your anchor 20m before you need to do so to avoid damaging the propeller in shallow water.
-
Before anyone dives into the water, the skipper must ensure that the anchor is "caught" and the engine is switched off.
-
Keep a starboard course in channels and harbours.
-
Never pass under the bow of a moving vessel.
-
Do not use the anchor in deep water except when you can see the bottom. The rope you release should be about three times the depth.
